The Portable Bird Dog II we offer has all the attributes and options of the standard Bird Dog II in a compact body. It has a 19-pin connector that delivers analog input (geophone test, vibrator QC option, accelerometer test option, hydrophone test option). This product offers 12-channel compatibility to the users and is, consequently, used for vibrator analysis and wireline acquisition of multiple vibrators. Our Bird Dog II unit also possesses AWD - Accelerated Weight Drop Timing Verification and GPS, which stores position and time of tests. The product we offer includes:

Many magnetic observatories today rely on a combination of scalar, fluxgate and theodolite instruments for obtaining measurements. Research installations engaged in volcanology applications are also using scalar magnetometers for stationary work.

GEM s Overhauser GSM-90 EUROMAG is particularly suited to these applications (and volcanology). This is a standard magnetometer without a display screen that can be operated via computer.

For simple applications, customers may be interested in the GSM-8 (Proton Precession) and GSM-9 (Overhauser) systems. These are basic instruments (i.e. without any memory) for calibration of fluxgate magnetometers or for simple magnetic reconnaissance programs.

For more advanced applications, GEM recommends that customers consider the GSM-19T Proton Precession or GSM-19 Overhauser systems as modern and cost-effective evolutions of the GSM-8 and GSM-9.
